The 37-year-old Stafford visited specialist Dr. on Saturday for the second time Steven Watkins. He remains “from week to week” and received an epidural to help with his recovery. Stafford was kept out of the training camp after he found pain during the low season.
“He makes good progress, he feels good (s) we have been able to increase a few things behind the scenes,” said Rams head coach Sean McVay, via athletics. “He is in a good mood. … We have a good plan that we feel good about, and he is progressing in the right direction.”
There were conversations about Stafford that Los Angeles leaves during the low season, but he eventually agreed to a contract restructuring to stay in the team. He enters his fifth season with the Rams, who won a super bowl in his first season in LA, but has not passed the division round since then.

In the absence of Stafford, Jimmy Garoppolo took first team representatives in his place, while former pick of the fourth round Stetson Bennett worked with the second team. The rams are planned to open their season 7 September against the Texans in Houston.
