Jonquel Jones, Leonie Fiebich and Emma Meesseman Power Liberty up to an 85-76 victory over wings

New York (AP)-Jonquel Jones had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the New York Liberty to an 85-76 victory over the Dallas wings on Tuesday evening.

Leonie Fiebich scored 14 points and Emma Meesseman played her first home game for the Liberty since her return to the WNBA, added 13. Chants of “Emma!” Broke out in the center of Barclay after the victory.

Meesseman, a former MVP final that last played in the competition in 2022 before he won the Euroleague-MVP in the last three seasons, scored 11 points in her seasonal debut on Sunday in a victory of 87-78 on Connecticut.

Last week the wings (8-21) defeated the Liberty 92-82, a match that became a distant memory on Tuesday evening.

New York (18-10) took the lead from the gate and held it during most of the game.

Two free throws from Bueckers tied the match at the age of 34 in the last minutes of the first half, before Stephanie Talbot made a 3-Pointer to give New York a lead, it never gave up the rest of the road.

Talbot reached double digits with 13 points, while Sabrina Ionescu was relatively quiet and scored nine points, three in the first half and six in the second.

The wings remained close by the first 45 minutes before the Liberty expanded their advantage to double digits when the fourth turned off.
