5 players to look in the joint exercise of commanders with patriots on Wednesday

Finally, the Washington commanders will enjoy a practice where they can hit the other team. On Wednesday, Washington is in Foxboro, Massachusetts, for a joint practice with the New England Patriots. It is a kind of preview for the opener of Friday’s preseason between the two teams from Gillette Stadium.

It is unlikely that we will see many commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels in the pre -season opener, but we should see enough of it in Wednesday’s joint practice. The same applies to New England’s second -year Quarterback, Drake Maye.

Which players need a good show during Wednesday’s training? We look at five players we want to see the most against the patriots, not necessarily five players who need a good day.

RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt

Everyone wants to see it "Account" In action. Head coach then Quinn and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury both called both that they wanted to see the seventh round Rookie in live action against another team. This is not a struggle for a schedule for Croskey-Merritt: he is almost a schedule lock. However, his performance during this exercise and the subsequent pre -season matches can affect how much he will be seen on the attack early in the season.

WR JAYLIN LANE

Another Rookie concept choice, Jaylin Lane, played the first two weeks of the training camp on the heads. It will be interesting to see how much work he gets against New England and whether he can have an impact. Lane can play in the lock or stand in a row on the outside. His role still has to be determined. But with Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown still offside, these are critical repetitions for Lane and Luke McCaffrey.

Edge Jacob Martin

When the commanders signed Martin, it went under the radar. The eight-year-old veteran played for different teams, but has shown some passtrush juice in limited snaps during his NFL career. Martin is in a struggle with others for one of the last places at Defensive End/Edge Rusher. He had an excellent spring and brought it to the training camp. It should be nice to see him go against the patriots.

CB Trey Amos

Trey Amos is again one of the Rookies of Washington that we are enthusiastic to see. He had a striking camp for two weeks and looks like a future no. 1 cornerback. The entire secondary Van Washington looks like a legitimate force after struggling for a few years. The second round Pick has been around the ball all summer and gets away with several sales. It will be exciting to see him match with another team. Amos’s height and athletics are excellent.

S Tyler Owens

The second -year safety made the team last summer as a unguomed free agent because of its size, physicality and elite athletics. Owens can also play. He was excellent in special teams last summer and impressed by every time he appeared in defense. The commanders have prepared him several times with the starters in this training camp and he always finds a way to stand out. Although Owens will not start, Washington believes that he will have an impact on special teams and defense. Owens is one of Washington’s most exciting players to watch.
