Raiders QB Geno Smith originally describes his relationship with sub-owner Tom Brady appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Las Vegas Raiders brought into leadership with Geno Smith this season to lead the attack on the field from his quarterback position and Tom Brady now on board as a minority owner.
Brady and the rest of the ownership group hired former Seahawks boss Pete Carroll to coach the team, a movement that brought experienced leadership with a super bowl tribe tree to the forefront of the team’s activities.
On Monday, Smith spoke about his relationship with Brady and how it influenced him to enter the 2025-26 season in Las Vegas.
“Of course you played against Tom Brady in the AFC West, now he is one of the owners here, he was here at the weekend, how is your experience with him as a part owner?” Smith was asked.
“Man, it’s great not to have to compete against him anymore, but you also know, I think I just have a man, to lean like Tom, this is the best of the best, this is the best it will be, so when he speaks, listen,” Smith said.
The former West Virginia star and Seahawks QB said he speaks to Brady every other day.
“Let them sleep. I don’t want them to see us coming. We work in the shade. “@Genosmith3 Is trust in his @Raiders Team on the way to the season. @Rapsheet@Omardruizpic.twitter.com/4rwr87pbxs

“He did great with this organization, and so far he really helps the quarterbacks, he helps me, he is a mentor,” Smith added.
“It’s something we grateful,” Smith added to the interview.
