Los Angeles Rams who run back Kyren Williams had a very good Tuesday. Not only did he officially sign his new three -year -old $ 33 million deal with the team, but Williams had two great highlights in joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys.
First, Williams absolutely illuminated cowboys -liner Damone Clark while he protected Rams Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. He clark and then threw him on the floor. Now this could possibly have justified a fine in a real game, but physicality is a huge trust booster in practice.
Williams is solid in blocking Pass, but is certainly not known for it. He has never registered a pass-Blocking Pro Voetbal Focus figure higher than 57.7 in his three NFL seasons. Last year Williams allowed 20 edition and ended with a 41.0 pass-Blocking figure.
With a full season and outside the season under his belt, Williams may have added that to his repertoire.
The second highlight of the Day of Williams contained a different element of his game that is not a staple: long runs. Williams broke a long touchdown run against the cowboys. It is unclear how long it would have been, but for reference, Williams’s longest run from 2024 was only 30 meters.
Given the Rams has added an explosive Rookie-Hardoper in Jarquez Hunter, William’s must be more dynamic to keep his foot on the ground as the three-down starter of the trio of him, Hunter and Corum.
Williams is locked up for the next three seasons, which is great for the continuity of the Rams and the trust of the run. We will see how it translates on the field for a regular season game and not just practicing.
